As technology has advanced, the android has become a commonplace character in science fiction and science fact. An android is a machination constructed to resemble the human figure. They are meant to appear human in order to trigger the human psychological disposition that encourages intraspecies prosociality. While androids are a subset of robots, they are distinguished from cyborgs, which are an amalgamation of machine and human. The form and pose of this android was inspired by Millicent, a character who is part of a side quest in Elden Ring.
