The Cyborg

A cyborg is made up of both human and technological parts. They are integrated. Some of us may already be cyborgs. People who have pacemakers and prostheses, for example, are a kind of cyborg. On the other hand, why should integration require that technology is physically attached to someone? Surely people rely on their mobile phones as much as a person relies on a prosthesis. If we think of technology as any extensions of our natural biology, maybe we're all cyborgs in some way. This piece takes inspiration from one of my favorite cyborg depictions: the Borg from Star Trek.
